Using digital tools in fashion education –
for a green transition, inclusion, and diversity

Together we will develop an open-source library of 9-course modules of educational material for fashion educators to use digital tools in existing curriculums.

At the core of our project lies the recognition that digital tools present a significant opportunity to drive change. Through critical thinking, research, and collaboration with companies at the forefront within the digital field, our focus is on using technology to possibly support a more sustainable future in fashion.

Our approach builds upon existing teaching methods in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Through the meaningful and pedagogical implementation of digital tools, we seek to provide fashion educators and students with the knowledge and skills required to engage in sustainable practices and shape the industry accordingly.

Our goal is to create a library of 9-course modules that show the utilization of digital tools and technology, such as 3D virtual prototyping, body scanning, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR), for sustainable design in artistic fashion education.

The educational materials from all developed and tested course modules can be found here.

Partner Universities:

The collaboration and deliveries will enable additional partnerships across disciplines and secure HEIs within the EU an international place in digital fashion education. By encouraging collaboration, we can use diverse perspectives and experiences to support a green transition, and work for inclusion and diversity.

Our deliveries will consist of online material for fashion educators. They will cover elements such as video tutorials, downloadable and printable tutorials, course module description examples, teaching workshop formats, teaching cases, a library of student work examples, articles, and learning & teaching tools.
