Future: Better Tomorrow

Kolding School of Design
Module: Us

What if natural areas were protected from humans for 100 years?

As human contact with nature declines due to digitalization and urbanization, sensory perception and mental well-being suffer. This project explores a future scenario: What if natural areas were protected from humans for 100 years?

Through multiple hands-on experiences and methods, we seek solutions to maintain a connection with nature without direct access. The goal was to develop a sensory jacket with different textures and VR experience that gives us humans the possibility to strengthen our senses and connect with nature while allowing our ecosystems to regenerate.

The project envisions a future where humans respect and value nature, ensuring both mental health and the protection of our natural areas. “
